Heavy Equipment Technician - Full-time Permanent
We are looking for a highly motivated self-starting Red Seal Technician to join our growing Repair and Maintenance team based in Stellarton, Nova Scotia.

Qualifications:
- Red Seal Certified minimum of 3 years.
- Must be safety minded and follow all company and site safety policies.
- Valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract.
- Able to work flexible hours to keep our equipment running.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to understand and use computer based diagnostic tooling.
- Be able to understand mobile equipment systems to effectively and efficiently determine the necessary route for repair.
- Be experienced, competent and able to troubleshoot, repair, adjust, overhaul and maintain mobile equipment.
- Be an enthusiastic team player with the ability to provide high quality service work with the best interest of the company in mind.
- Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi and Crushing experience would be an asset.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Maintenance, inspection, diagnose, repairs, and preventive maintenance of company fleet to ensure high machine availability
- Follow and practice workplace health and safety policies and regulations, ensure proper disposal of any hazardous waste
- Work to be performed on company fleet in shop and in the field
- Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation

Loader Operator (Crushing Division) - Full-time Seasonal
Responsibilities:
- To work as part of a team under supervision of the crew foreman &/or superintendent to operate a loader and other miscellaneous duties as required
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner

Quarry Foreman Troy, Inverness County Location - Full-time Seasonal 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work with our Crushing Superintendent to manage the overall operations of the quarry, such as:
- Operation of the quarry loader to load trucks or move oversize as required
- Weighing of trucks and issuing weigh tickets using our scale house software
- Regular quarry inspections to ensure safe working conditions
- All aspects of health & safety for our employees and anyone else on the quarry site
- Communication with our Maintenance staff for any maintenance and repairs of company equipment
- Monitor and communicate with the Crushing Superintendent on inventory levels and customer requirements
- Ensuring compliance with all environmental requirements (In coordination with the Crushing Superintendent)
- Monitor the requirement for pit development and communicate with the crushing Superintendent
Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, Education and Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in loader operation, preferably in aggregates operations
- Valid drivers’ license
- Proven leadership abilities
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude – knowledge of operation, maintenance, and basic repairs

Asphalt Roller Operator
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the asphalt roller, including maintenance
- Work as part of a team under supervision of the Paving Foreman and/or Paving Superintendent
- Complete daily inspections of the paver and complete daily equipment checklist
- Other duties as required
Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, Education and Experience:
- Previous asphalt/grade roller operation would be considered an asset
- Successful completion of the NSRBA Asphalt Laydown Technician Program would be considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 NS drivers’ license
- Mechanical aptitude – knowledge of operation, maintenance & basic repairs of asphalt roller
- Must be willing to travel within Northeastern Nova Scotia and Cape Breton

Responsibilities:
- To pick up & deliver aggregates and asphalt to government and private construction sites in Northern and Eastern Nova Scotia on time
- To transport heavy equipment between construction sites may be required
